| General :- |

The library will remain open from 10.30
a.m. to 6.10 p.m. corresponding to the working
hours at the institute. The timings may be
extended if need arises during any programme
organized by the institute. |

The Issue time: - 11.00 A.M. to 05.30 P.
M. (Lunch Time 2.00.P.M. to 2.30 P.M.) |

The MGLI Library follows an open asccess
system. |
| 4. |
Books or other material taken from the stacks
should not be re-shelved by the users, but
should be left on the tables. |
| 5. |
User should not bring their personal belongings
while visiting library. In. case they bring
such things with them, while entering the
Library, the user should leave their personal
books etc. near the counter reserved. |
| 6. |
Before leaving the Library, the user should
take back their personal belongings. |
| 7. |
The users are requested to maintain absolute
silence in the Library so as to avoid disturbance
to other users. |
| 8. |
Smoking inside the library is strictly
prohibited. Drinks such as tea, coffee and
eatable are not allowed in the Library. |
| 9. |
The user should not deface, mark, cut or
in any other way damage the Library material.
If such case is detected the user will be
liable either to replace the books or pay
for the damage. |

The faculty, research and administrative
and accounts staff, project staff under the
MGLI and members of council would enjoy the
privilege of borrowing books from the library. |
| 11. |
Reference books, bound volumes of journals,
censuses, rare books, latest journals and
periodicals will not be issued out of the
library. |
| 12. |
The borrowing privileges are following :- |

| A. |
The faculty can borrow not exceeding
20 books at a time for 6 month's duration. |
| B. |
Research and administrative staff can borrow not exceeding 3 books at a time for 2 month's duration. |
| C. |
Project staff can borrow not exceeding 3 books at a time for 1 month duration. |
| D. |
The students of different diplome courses run by the institute, can borrow not exceeding 2 books at a time for a period of 15 days. |
| E. |
Each book or periodical borrowed from the library shall be returned on or before the date specified. Failed to do so will entail the payment of a fine at the rate of Rs.5/- for each day after the specified date during which the book or periodical is retained by the borrower. On the expiry of 60 days from the specified date, the borrower shall be required to pay a fine corresponding in amount to the purchase price of the book or, as the case may be, periodical. |

The borrower should take care to return the books on or before the prescribed date without fail. |

| 13. |
Renewal of book will not be permitted if it is already demanded by some other users. |
| 14. |
A borrower going on leave for more then 10 days study leave or extraordinary leave shall have to return all the borrowed books before commencement of leave. |
| 15. |
Trainees of various programmes organised by the Institute would be entitled to make use of the library facility and borrow one book at a time with due endorsement by the course Director. |
| Inter Library Loan:- |
| 16. |
Books can be borrowed by the faculty, staff, students from other organizations on the basis of Inter Library Loan system on demand, on reciprocal arrangements. |
| 17. |
Departmental Libraries in Government will also be covered under Inter Library Loan System. |
