The objective of the programme is to improve understanding : |

of ways in which human resources in an organisation may generate / sustain competitive advantage; |
 |
of processes in the management of human resources; and |
 |
of issues arising from organisational change. |
| Such understanding may be expected to enable a person to contribute more effectively as manager/ supervisor in an organisation in the private or public sector. |

The programme represents a part time one year course of study |

The programme will comprise : |

a taught course of study covering three topic; and |
 |
an essay on the basis of work on an approved project. |

A Student Who : |

has passed the end-of-course examination; and |

has submitted within the time limit prescribed and extended essay (on the basis of work on and approved project) which is adjudged to be of the appropriate standard : |

Will be eligible to receive the certificate of completion of the programme. |
|

A Student is expected to attend classes regularly. A student whose attendance at periods of class instruction is irregular or below 75 percent may be declared ineligible in the end-of-course examination. |
 |
The medium of intruction for the programme will be English. |
 |
Classes will be held in the Institute at such times during 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. hours on weekdays (excluding public holidays) as the course co-ordinator may determine. |
 |
The tuition fee payable for the programme will be Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only). Fees, if any, payable for use of the Institute's facilities will be communicated when a candidate is admitted to the programme. The amount of the tuition fee will be payable in full on acceptance by a candidate of the offer of admission to the programme. The amount will not be refundable. |
